Shree Laxminarayan Community library:

“The desire of Laxminarayan library is art, litreture, education and creation.”

Shree Laxminarayan Community library is only one of the community libraries functioning in the head quarter, Beshisahar of Lamjung district. The library is re registered on 2054 BS(1996 AD) and affiliated with social welfare council of Nepal.
Providing support for its continuity demands a lot of effort than to establishment. So the library has built three storied building in its 8 Aana land to conduct the library and for providing sustainability of the library. There is a lot of contribution from governmental, nongovernmental organizations, schools and individuals for the construction of the building. The second floor of the building is rented out and it has its regular income of Rs 15500/- ( Fifteen thousand five hundred) per month. The remaining rooms in third floor are used for its own programs which are mentioned below.

1. Full library with one childrens, music, information section and audio visual room.
2. In the first floor a children’s center and children’s play area is constructed.
3. The district network of library is being organized and functioning for the development of libraries.
4. Information center lumlung is established in this district and it has started information programs on HIV & AIDS..
5. Conducting district level and national level of literary programs.
